Breezy HR Alternatives: 6 Options, Cheaper and More Advanced

By Lisa GonzalezUpdated 4 min read

Breezy HR is a well-liked applicant tracking system for small and mid-sized teams. It posts jobs to more than 50 job boards, builds a customisable careers site, automates pipeline steps and has a genuinely free plan. Most people who look for an alternative hit one of two walls: the jump from the free plan to $157 a month, or a need for more structure than Breezy offers.

This guide covers both. Prices were checked on each vendor's pricing page on 1 November 2026.

What Breezy HR costs in 2026

Plan Billed yearly Billed monthly Adds
Bootstrap Free Free 1 active position, unlimited users
Startup $157/mo $189/mo Unlimited positions, automations
Growth $273/mo $329/mo Reference checks, interview guides
Business $439/mo $529/mo Multi-path questionnaires, assessments

Yearly billing includes two months free, and every paid plan has a 14-day trial with no credit card. Texting and AI features are sold as add-ons, with SMS starting at $41/month.

The free plan has a catch that is easy to miss: it keeps only candidates added in the last 30 days. If you hire slowly or want to go back to last quarter's applicants, you need a paid plan.

Where Breezy HR is still a good choice

  • Job board reach. One-click posting to 50+ job boards on every plan, including free.
  • Automation for the price. Candidate automations and bulk actions start on Startup.
  • Free plan with unlimited users. Good for a team that hires one role at a time and acts fast.

If job board posting is the core of your hiring, Breezy is hard to beat at its price. The alternatives below are either cheaper for small teams or go further for structured hiring.

Cheaper than Breezy HR

1. Jobspage

Jobspage is a careers page builder with a simple applicant tracker: a branded careers page at yourcompany.jobspage.co, a page for every job with your own application form, Google for Jobs markup, and a pipeline where you rate candidates and move them through your hiring stages.

Price: free for 1 active job with unlimited applicants, and candidates aren't deleted after 30 days. Bootstrap is $19/month billed yearly ($29 monthly) for 3 jobs, Startup $29 ($49) for 10, and Business $79 ($129) for 20. All paid plans remove the Jobspage badge and can embed your jobs on your own website. See pricing.

What you give up compared with Breezy: job board posting (jobs can appear in Google for Jobs, and each has a Share on LinkedIn button), automations, interview scheduling, texting and integrations.

Pick it if: you mainly need a careers page and a pipeline, and Breezy's $157 a month is more than your hiring justifies.

2. Zoho Recruit

A full applicant tracking system with a free plan for 1 active job that includes interview scheduling and email. Standard is €25 per recruiter a month billed yearly, with 10 active jobs per licence, premium job boards, a careers site, referrals and assessments. Enterprise is €50 per recruiter with 20 jobs and automation.

Pick it if: you have one or two recruiters and want job boards and scheduling at a fraction of Breezy's paid price.

3. Manatal

Priced per user rather than per company. Professional is $15 per user a month billed yearly ($19 monthly) for up to 15 jobs. Enterprise, with unlimited jobs and workflow automation, is $35 per user, and Enterprise Plus $55.

Pick it if: one or two people do all the recruiting.

4. JazzHR

Built for US small businesses that rely on job boards. Hero is $1,000 a year, roughly half of Breezy Startup's yearly cost, with job postings and the applicant tracker. Plus is $3,480 a year with up to 200 active jobs, structured interviews and automation. JazzHR is owned by Employ, which also sells Jobvite and Lever.

Pick it if: you hire in the US and want job board reach on a smaller budget.

More advanced than Breezy HR

5. Workable

A full recruiting suite. For 1 to 20 employees, Standard is $299/month billed yearly or $360 monthly, with unlimited active jobs, a sourcing suite, a hiring plan and custom reports. Premier is $599/month, yearly only.

Breezy HR vs Workable: Breezy costs about half as much at entry level and also has unlimited positions on paid plans. Workable adds a sourcing suite, stronger reporting and an optional HR system. More in our Workable alternatives guide.

6. Recruitee

Tellent Recruitee is a collaborative applicant tracking system with multiposting, a careers site, team collaboration, and email and calendar sync. It doesn't publish prices, and every contract runs for at least a year. Its entry plan, Start, includes 5 active jobs.

Breezy HR vs Recruitee: Breezy publishes its prices, bills monthly if you want, and has a free plan. Recruitee is stronger on collaboration and suits European teams, but you commit to a year. More in our Recruitee alternatives guide.
