Freshteam Alternatives: Export Your Data and Choose a Replacement

By Lisa GonzalezUpdated 4 min read

Freshteam is being shut down. Freshworks stopped selling it as a standalone product in 2022 and announced its sunset in January 2026. No subscription has renewed since 7 June 2026, and every account is deleted a set time after its last term ends.

If your team still uses Freshteam, two things matter: getting your data out before the deadline, and replacing what Freshteam did for you. Freshteam covered both recruiting and HR, so you may need one tool or two.

How long you have

From Freshworks' Freshteam sunset FAQ:

  • Renewals have stopped. Half-yearly and annual plans stopped renewing on 7 March 2026, and monthly plans on 7 June 2026. Plans that renewed before 7 March 2026 run to the end of that term, which for a yearly plan means early 2027.
  • Access continues for 90 days after your term ends, so you can move your data out.
  • Then the data is deleted. Paid accounts can download their data for 90 days after the subscription ends, free accounts for 14 days. After that, Freshworks deletes the account data.

If you were on a monthly plan, your term ended by early July 2026 at the latest, so your export window has most likely closed. If you are on a yearly plan, check your renewal date in your Freshteam billing settings now.

How to export your Freshteam data

  1. Sign in as an account admin.
  2. Go to Admin settings → Account → Export account data.
  3. Request the export. Freshteam emails you when the file is ready.
  4. Download it and store it somewhere your company controls.

Do this first, even before you pick a replacement. Most tools can't import a Freshteam export directly, so this file may become your archive of past candidates and employees.

Freshteam did two jobs. Which do you need to replace?

  • Hiring and HR together (careers page, applicant tracking, onboarding, time off, employee records): choose an HR system that includes hiring, such as BambooHR, or a recruiting tool with an HR add-on, such as Workable.
  • Hiring only: any of the applicant tracking systems below. Freshteam's free plan covered basic hiring, and three of them still have a free plan.

Prices below were checked on each vendor's pricing page on 1 November 2026.

BambooHR Hiring and HR No $250/mo flat, up to 25 employees
Workable Hiring, HR as add-on No $299/mo yearly, 1–20 employees

Breezy HR Hiring 1 position $157/mo yearly
Manatal Hiring Trial $15/user/mo yearly
Jobspage Hiring 1 job $19/mo yearly, 3 jobs

Replacements for hiring and HR

BambooHR

The closest match to Freshteam's mix of HR and hiring. Every plan includes employee records, time off, reporting and an applicant tracking system. For 25 employees or fewer it costs a flat $250/month on Core (5 open jobs), $425 on Pro (25 jobs) or $650 on Elite (50 jobs). Above 25 employees, it is $10.25, $17.50 or $25 per employee a month. Payroll is a US add-on. More in our BambooHR alternatives guide.

Workable

A full recruiting suite with an optional HR bundle covering onboarding, time off, time tracking and payroll preparation. For 1 to 20 employees, recruiting on Standard is $299/month billed yearly or $360 monthly, with unlimited active jobs. More in our Workable alternatives guide.

Replacements for hiring only

Zoho Recruit

A full applicant tracking system with a free plan for 1 active job that includes interview scheduling and email. Standard is €25 per recruiter a month billed yearly, with 10 active jobs per licence, job boards and a careers site. Useful if you also move HR to another Zoho app.

Breezy HR

Job board distribution, a customisable careers site and pipeline automation, the parts of Freshteam's recruiting most teams relied on. The free plan covers 1 active position, keeping candidates added in the last 30 days. Startup, with unlimited positions, is $157/month billed yearly or $189 monthly.

Manatal

Priced per user rather than per company, which suits a small team that recruits for many roles. Professional is $15 per user a month billed yearly for up to 15 jobs, and Enterprise $35 with unlimited jobs.

Jobspage

Jobspage replaces the recruiting side of Freshteam for small teams: a branded careers page at yourcompany.jobspage.co, a page for every job with your own application form, Google for Jobs markup, and a pipeline where you rate candidates and move them through your hiring stages.

Price: free for 1 active job with unlimited applicants. Bootstrap is $19/month billed yearly ($29 monthly) for 3 jobs, Startup $29 ($49) for 10, and Business $79 ($129) for 20. All paid plans remove the Jobspage badge and can embed your jobs on your own website. See pricing.

What it doesn't replace: Freshteam's HR side (onboarding, time off, employee directory) and job board multiposting. Jobspage also can't import your Freshteam export. If recruiting was most of what you used Freshteam for, it is the quickest switch: set up your careers page, re-post your open roles, and new applicants arrive from day one.

A switching checklist

  1. Export your Freshteam data and store the file.
  2. Decide whether you are replacing hiring, HR, or both.
  3. Set up the new tool and re-post your open jobs. A job description template helps if you are rewriting them.
  4. Update the "Careers" link on your website and anywhere else your old Freshteam careers page was linked.
  5. Tell candidates in active processes where to expect emails from.
  6. Keep using Freshteam only for in-flight candidates until your term ends.
